Karakuri are mechanical devices known in Japan since the 18–19 century. Back then, they had the appearance of dolls. SUS gives the name Karakuri to technical devices made of aluminum profile and their components that operate without electricity. These mechanisms are designed for lowering and raising light objects, moving them around, change the movement direction of various objects. Operating principle of Karakuri modules is based on the laws of physics — this is why they have quite a simple design. They are very convenient tools in warehousing operations and conveyor lines. Generally, these devices operate without electricity, but if needed, powered devices can be created as well.
